Attribute Based Access
OVERVIEW
Now that we have rolled out Role-Based Access, which allows access to sources and CMS sections to a pre-defined arbitrary set of users, we’ve built on top of that foundation.
Attribute-Based Access enabled access to sources and CMS sections for all users matching a current attribute.
You can give access to all users matching an attribute using Attribute-Based Access. This page will explain what Attribute-Based Access is, how it relates to Role-Based Access, and how to use it.

Creating Attribute-Based Access
Making new Attribute-Based Access is as simple as a journey through Settings. Follow the steps below to create a new Attribute and assign it to your first user.
Step One:
Enter ask.lucy.ai into your browser and login to the system.
Step Two:
Navigate to the “Settings” gear icon and click the button to manage your company’s settings.
Note: If you don’t see the Settings icon, you are not an admin and will need to have your Customer Success Manager or another Admin grant you these privileges.
Step Three:
Select the “User Roles” tab to access the controls for managing user Roles.
Step Four:
Make sure the Attribute you want to assign access to is configured. You can create a new Attribute or edit an existing one, however Attributes cannot currently be deleted. Use a descriptive name so it’s clear what this Attribute will be used for in the future.
Step Five:
Confirm the Attribute is assigned to the appropriate users and grant your Attribute source access as needed. Navigate to the Mange Users section in Accounts User settings
Step Six:
Navigate to the Manage Users section in Accounts / User settings and click Edit for the user you wish to assign this Attribute to.
Scroll down to User Attributes and assign the Attribute you created to an Attribute Value. Click the Update button to complete the process.
