Enabling GenAI Capabilities

Every one of Lucy’s GenAI features can be controlled at an instance level. This allows companies who have not yet opted into the use of GenAI to disable these features as required. Lucy is feature rich without these AI capabilities allowing users to search, discover, and collaborate without the use of generative features.

Bring Your Own Model Approach

We believe in offering flexibility to our clients to select their own models to fit their needs. We offer the ability to connect to custom built LLM models and models developed by other industry leading platforms.  By default, Lucy comes built in with the latest AI models through our partnerships with Microsoft and OpenAI.

GenAI Features

Lucy Synopsis

  • What is Lucy Synopsis
Lucy Synopsis is our custom-built chat response engine. After a user asks a question, Lucy will identify the leading answers from your team’s content to support the response, this collection of answers along with the context of your questions are provided to our secured models and a singular Synopsis response is generated to answer your question.

  • Synopsis Response Evolution

Because the Synopsis response is generated with every new question asked the responses can vary as new content is considered, feedback has been applied, or the context of the question has shifted. Like asking a human, even when considering the same question and content, Lucy’s Synopsis responses can vary from question to question.

  • Synopsis Feedback

Much like the core Lucy Application the Synopsis response is constantly evolving with feedback. Users can positively or negatively rate the responses they receive to reinforce the system. Positively rating a synopsis response will enforce to the system the response was correct and will encourage response like this in the future to similar questions. Negative feedback will cause the system to regenerate new responses when presented with the same or similar questions.

  • Synopsis Reporting

Every Synopsis Response and feedback provided is reported within the Activity Report.
  • Core Synopsis Settings

For all instances the core settings including temperature, prompting, frequency, and penalty are optimized to ensure quality of responses and to minimize hallucinations.
  • Custom Assistant Instructions

The Lucy team can control Lucy’s custom assistant instructions to help guide Lucy responses, her tone, and her responses to questions core to the application. Please reach out to your Lucy Customer Success Manager if you’d like to edify the Assistance Instructions for your instance.

  • Synopsis Duration

Admins can control the duration of time the synopsis pop-up message is present. For instances with context rich responses, you may want to extend the duration of synopsis response to give users the opportunity to read the full question without scrolling up to their chat history.
